Based on feedback from our tournaments, we’re moving in a new direction… up!

NetScore is now integrated into the bottom of the net. This has several advantages including less interference when playing the ball off the net, and less likelihood of the beads getting knocked out of place inadvertently. Also, for the sake of clarity, arrows have been added so the score keeping is even easier.

We’re getting very close to the final version but we’re not there yet… prototype 6.0 is already in the works!

5.0 - A Step up…

4.1 - fine tuning

Just about there!

We’ve updated the numbered beads and added a nod to 7 and 21 for the beach players.

The end piece now has velcro built into the back to make it easier to attached to the net.

We’re just about ready to start selling our limited edition ‘Ambassador Series’ 3D printed product… exciting times!

4.0 - getting close…

With a QRcode that will direct to kickstarter.com at first and then NetScore’s website after, this version will help to promote itself, an idea courtesy of Kai, one of our advisors.

Also added are key end game numbered beads so that everyone is clear on what the score is and who’s about to win!

This time the ends are white, which most folks seem to like better and the size is half way in-between 2.0 and 3.0, which seems to be just about right!

3.0 - Go big or…

Go home?

The next prototype introduced a contrasting logo, end pieces that fitted onto the net for a more secure hold, and spaces between the beads for better clarity on the current count.

And it was definitely bigger… way too big in fact!

2.0 - 3D here we come!

In our initial pursuit of a commercially viable product, we hired an architectural student from UBC to model our CAD drawings and 3D print the evolution of an idea…

We separated the two teams into two units so they can be hung together at the centre of the net, or hung apart on either end of the net.

This prototype was a great start, but the beads were too small. We needed to go bigger!

They say necessity is the mother of all invention…

NetScore started not as a product, but as a need to eliminate the drag of (and disputes over!) keeping score.

Rudimentary in nature, the O.G. was well received and inspired the pursuit of the perfect NetScore!
